Description
Shadowlands is an award-winning play and was written by William Nicholson, who also wrote First Knight and Gladiator. The play was hugely successful on Broadway and London’s West End, and was even turned into a film that starred Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger. It is about the relationship between academic C. S. Lewis and Jewish American poet Joy Davidman, her death from cancer, and how this challenged his Christianity.
